Built in 15th century with the round tower added in the 16th century.
Master masons known are: Thomas Leiper c1576; James Leiper 1614, who extended the wings; I Bel 1617-18 who built the upper parts and the coat-of-arms. No marks were noted on this later work.
Four marks were recorded of 3 different masons. More marks are known to exist within the tower which were noted by Tom Addyman during a building survey, but access was not available at time of the Project survey. | | |
